Emily Milford
Senior Associate
Emily joined GBL as and Technologist in 2005. She is responsible for managing projects through Building Permit, Tender and Construction drawing production, and in overseeing contract administration through to project completion.
In her 19 years of experience she has worked on a variety of mixed use residential, office, hospitality, heritage and institutional projects. In addition to being involved with many types of market housing developments she has also worked on a variety of social housing projects including Canvas for Onni Developments, and Artist live-work development in the False Creek Flats neighbourhood and currently managing the Soroptimist Supportive Housing for Women redevelopment for Purpose Driven Developments in partnership with BC Housing.
Emily assisted in the rezoning and community planning of the Concord Gardens development in Richmond BC. It consisted of five phases, two new roads and a two-acre community park and private recreation facility. In other experience she has worked on a senior house project for the Langley Lions housing society which consisted of a rental housing and a senior community facility. She also worked on The Link in Vancouver which included a senior housing component for the Oddfellows housing society within an eight-storey non-combustible wood frame project consisting of 2 levels of underground parking, 10,000 square feet for commercial space, the three level senior housing parcel and five storeys of market rental above.
Most recently, Emily has been overseeing the Construction Administration of several mixed-use projects consisting of rental and market housing. Completing several projects around Vancouver including the Vancouver Chinese Presbyterian Church which included a sanctuary, 2 levels of learning and administration space, a 2 level daycare facility and 20 rental units.
